ESNLC has been working within the local community since 1984. Over the years the services and facilities we offer have grown immensely.

The House

The house was built around 1920. It has been an elegant homestead that has had several loving families sharing its space over the years. In the 1950's the house was home to the Mayor of St Kilda. Around the early 1980's the house was handed to the community to become a resource for everyone.

What is ESNLC?

• We are a community based centre for Adult Education and Community Support. Centres such as ours are known by many different names. These names include :-
• Neighbourhood House
• Living and Learning Centres
• Community House
• Activity Centre
• Learning Centres

Whatever the name these places are local organisations that provide social, education and recreational activities for their communities in a welcoming supportive environment.
